Cavco’s ADUs a Hit at the 2024 NAHB International Builders’ Show

The 2024 NAHB International Builders’ Show (IBS) in Las Vegas wasn’t just an industry event; it was a historic gathering that celebrated the 80th anniversary of the show and marked its largest expansion in 15 years. More than 76,000 residential construction professionals from across the industry and around the world were in attendance, along with 1,800 exhibitors. It included more than 120 educational sessions and events.

This year, Cavco Industries didn’t just show up to the IBS Show; we made a bold statement that was noticed by the thousands of people who visited our stunning exhibit in the ProBuilder Show Village.

Cavco’s Show-Stopping Displays: The Carmel and The Malibu

Cavco’s exhibition was the talk of the show. Our two ADU models on display, The Carmel and The Malibu, drew in roughly 10,000 visitors. Our display installation was featured prominently in every IBS promotional video and quickly became the “Belle of the Ball”. It was a must-see stop. The Carmel, standing tall over the ProBuilder Show Village, attracted much attention as the highest point of the outdoor exhibition, with just about everyone stopping by to hang out.

An interview with Tim Gage, VP Cavco Park Models and Cabins, conducted atop the garage observation deck of The Carmel, highlighted Cavco’s focus on the ADU market. He was most excited about the units built for the outdoor hospitality business, which featured a kitchen on the porch, glass garage doors and an open-air feel.

“We are really excited about our designs this year and we are doing a lot for outdoor living,” Tim said. “Our houses here have stood out more than any other, and that speaks to our quality products.”
